Monroe® Intelligent Suspension Experts Take to the Road

Europe Ride Performance, of Tenneco, is increasing the visibility of its Monroe® Intelligent Suspension portfolio, of advanced electronic suspension solutions, by updating its mobile original equipment (OE) ride tuning trucks with distinctive Monroe® Intelligent Suspension branding.

The Tenneco OE mobile ride tuning labs are staffed by a team of ride and handling experts that provide OE ride development support for conventional and advanced electronic suspension systems at customer sites, or on their test tracks. The trucks enable teams of ride engineers from both the car manufacturers and Tenneco to collaborate on customizing the suspension experience to specific vehicle applications. The trucks are equipped with high-precision testing and tuning equipment and will spend the majority of their time at customer sites across Europe.

“The success of Monroe® Intelligent Suspension among our OE customers means our fleet of ride tuning trucks is increasingly being used for tuning advanced electronic suspension, in addition to their core business of tuning conventional shocks prior to series production,” said Mario Maes, Ride and Handling Manager, Ride Performance International. As part of a wider campaign to build brand awareness and educate the public of the superior benefits of Monroe® Intelligent Suspension, “Adding Monroe® Intelligent Suspension branding to our tuning trucks will help us get our message across to consumers exactly where they’re experiencing suspension – right there on the road,” Maes added.

In addition to the Monroe® Intelligent Suspension logo and brand promise: “The Sixth Sense for your Drive”, the trucks feature the ‘line frequency’ concept from the brand’s 2016 advertising campaign, which visually describes how Monroe® Intelligent Suspension works by reading the road 500 times per second and automatically adjusts the shock absorbers 100 times per second to ensure a smooth and comfortable ride.

The trucks also features a digitized version of the Monroe® firm grip icon – of a robotic hand holding the tyre in contact with the road. The historic icon has been updated to showcase the evolution of intelligent, electronic suspension
